Lately, I’ve been playing my PS VITA.
Chaos;Child, Demon Gaze, Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics, etc etc. While playing these games, I promised myself that I’d make this game console my only sanctuary. That’s right. Not like the Walking Dead series on Steam······! As I haven’t played it even once during the 1 year period since I had bought it, and as I don’t plan to play it for another year, that sort of back alley······! I won’t make the VITA into that sort of land of zombies······! PS VITA is······! Just for the PS VITA, I’ll only buy another game after I’ve already cleared the game that I’ve already purchased······! Sanctuary······! Catacomb······! My PS VITA will turn over a new leaf as a grave filled with games that have all been played······!
Ironically, the term VITA means life.

Whether it’s because of the ironic meaning the word VITA possesses, but despite my endeavor to turn it into a catacomb, games that I’m occasionally unable to clear have started to pile up. Those are the instances where I buy games thinking they’d match my preference, but they turned out to not suit my fancy. Sometimes I’d discover games that match my preferences, but if someone asked me whether the game matched my preferences perfectly, then that wasn’t the case either. If anything, because they match my preferences, I end up discovering many more things about the game that feels lacking to me. A game that’s able to intermesh with you perfectly. That kind of game doesn’t exist in the world. It has yet to be born.
It’s a sad thing.
Ironically, the term VITA means life.

Similar to how there’s no game that’s able to intermesh with you perfectly, there’s no story in the world that’s able to intermesh with you perfectly as well. If you want a story that’s capable of intermeshing with you perfectly, then all you can do is supplement it and create the story yourself.
It’s quite the sad thing, but if you think about it the other way around, then the reason why creators applied to become creators, the fact that they can eat and live due to their creations is the groundwork for that reason. Through the base of deficiency and sadness, they eat and live. If you look at it from this perspective, then a creator is a job with quite the deep sin.
At times, a truth can be born from within a vice as well. Due to all of the creators who were trying to make a story that intermeshed with themselves, a countless number of creations were born in the world. Certain stories that match certain people’s preferences were born like that, and those kinds of stories will continue to be given life.
That’s right, ironically, the term VITA means life······.
Truly, VITA······.

TL Note: I honestly thought I would release this immediately after the short story, but my entire day was booked with running around and doing errands. Stress is terrible. Well, I’m finally going to be able to catch a break now, so I’ll probably take 1-2 weeks off before I start translating volume 3 of YaMA. If DD is announced before that time, then I may possibly delay volume 3 and wait for the next DD volume.

Yudias Complete Overhaul Skill is only RARE? That sounds so op, even with the 2 times per year limit. I guess thats gonna be story relevant sometimes in the future.

Well, that is actually wrong. You can close the gap of what you think is perfect if you do it yourself, but you never will be able to grab true perfection. Well, maybe you can if you are more than a little of a narcisist yourself. That is because the love to something can be similar to the love someone can have with someone else. So unless you are a narsisist, it is logic you are going to love someone else work. But you can always expect that your own work can move something on someone else and help in the conception of “the perfect story for you”.

So, Sii Garno Mikatni is of 1/4th “Marble” descent, whatever that is, and that apparently accounts for her strength? The Earl isn’t “Marbled” though, so I guess that means Sii’s mother is 1/2 Marbled. Also, and maybe this has been brought up before, but if Sii has two surnames, and Mikatni is her adopted fathers’, does that mean “Garno” is also the Earl’s surname, like the House of Windsor? Or is that her mother’s surname? hmmm…
I’m still waiting for that missing airliner Yujin’s father was on (mentioned in the beginning of chapter 2 of book 1, I think) that to become relevant; my initial theory was that it was a casualty of the Earl’s imprisonment several years ago, but the time frames don’t match up well (8 years ago, the Earl summoned Ahyeon to her world, roughly the same time Yujin’s suffering under Chanmi began).

Also, Ahyeon was with the Earl + Zia for 4 years, when the Earl was 8–12 years old. In other words, when Yujin (+ Minhee) was attacked and he went on the offensive, the Earl (+ Ahyeon) was attacked, and she went on the offensive. Besides strengthening the parallels laid out in Book 1’s prologue, this also means *if* the Earl summoned the airplane, she did so when she was about 4 years old.

Hehe, someone who maybe i can talk? Well, I am more curious about what happened with the other korean guy. the one who was their friend.He died? that is a possibility, but who knows.
And what about the people who attacked the girlfriend of Yujin? they really did not fought them because the of the other girl (i am bad with names).? and if that is the case who make them attack the protagonist? If she didnt do it, i think it was the sister/cousin. Or someone like Yudia who knows something can be created from revenge, maybe the sister/cousin.
Talking about Yudia he says something like he wants to fight enemies, because no one can beat him or something, but apparently this guy leaved the monster who the earl summoned to escape??, Yudia leaved him on purpose? Or (and i know this is thinking to much) the monster is the friend of the Earl??
Talking about teletransportation: Maybe the Earl can manipulate time? With this all things can be easier. well, teletransportation is basically controlling time/space after all, but maybe thats to much of an OP.
Something i think is very important is about the half sister of the earl. She is not going to have amazing powers too?

@Legolaz: Those are good points about the actual attacker (if truly not Chanmi & co.) and the summoned monster. I think Yujin’s cousin is actually kinda on good terms with him, they both just also kinda hate each other at the same time. Sibling stuff, kinda, it’s a complicated relationship. OTOH, maybe his uncle? That seems somewhat plausible.

I understand, it can be too, something like: the uncle who was rich anctually wanted to adopt the protagonist, but the other uncle didnt want that, because of his inferiority complex and adopted him to feel better to himself.
If you are saying the rich uncle was who attacked her, then i guess there is a possibility, like some kind of misunderstanding (trying to do something good, he make something bad).
Oh, by the way i know now that Yudia couldn’t do what he said he did (unless those glasses make him extra op with that): Taking chapter 9 into consideration, when the protagonist tell the earl about her not being intelligent enought to plan something like she said she did. Now if he is right and for what i saw he is right, then it’s impossible for Yudia to do something the earl can’t in this specific thing, since Yudia is not as intelligent as her, or that is what the sheets tells me.
Now if he wanted to make something good and that transformed in something bad, well that is one of the points of this story.

Damn, Yudia’s skill kit seems a bit overloaded. And by the sounds of it, his level of power isn’t completely unique either. Just how powerful must the Earl’s summons be if she’s confident that they can kill people as powerful as that?

I actually dont think yudia is that strong, I was expecting more, hes phoenix rebirths are tricky tho if u dont know about them, you nuke her, get on with ur life, just to find out a couple years later that shes behind u swinging is axe…
Im most worried about the technique and stamina unmeasurable O.O…please measure it, I dont like hidden factors.
I think the bigger plot play is gonna be those appraisal glasses tho, she basically saw yujin stats, his intel and wisdom from 1st glance, so hes alrdy busted. And we dont know if it can see other things like inventory and skills too =O
Thats why I called yudia a coward, another way for him to know his opponents strength, he knows they are weaker yet he still faces him under the pretext of a decent fight. If you want a good fight go duel ppl at your level or beyond…
Also note on the slice/pierce/smash skills, it seems they are the pinnacle of melee skills in this world, while strong, they dont stand a chance to a bullet, so im somewhat disappointed. It seems in this world you either are born with some op unique skill (like the earl) or your confined to learn this skills that while not bad, they just lose to a bullet and anything beyond…
yujin needs to come to earth and get some weaponary, but like I said the worst is yudias rebirth, If you dont know about it your screwed, reminds me of re zero’s rayearth, you go all out to destroy him, use your 1 time trumph card, just to find out he has 1 ress per day………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….ye
